Links to Other BISHOP Family Web Sites There are many sites on Web with information about the BISHOP family. If you use “Google” today (in 2021) and enter the search term “Bishop Genealogy” it will come up with about 10.6 million results. In 2003 it came up with 120,000 results. Many BISHOP family trees have been published on the Web, and a number of them are connected with the BISHOP family whose ancestry stems from Tillington Court and Holway Manor. A “Google” search of the terms “Bishop Genealogy Holway” currently yields about 80,000 results. In 2003 it yielded 139 results. Most of these latter sites have been placed on the web by descendants of the BISHOP family in the United States. Most of the people who have published these sites have traced their ancestry back to Reverend John BISHOP who settled in Stamford, Connecticut in the 1640’s. These people, alive today, are approximately 11th cousins to today’s BISHOP family members who are descendants of John Skynner Egerton BISHOP.
